Shirley Gowan Mitchell

Went to YVC for a year or so, got bored. Worked at Pacific Fruits until 1979, where I met and married my husband, Larry. Became a stay at home mom after the birth of our first daughter. Second daughter came along 13 months later. After 15 years of staying home, I worked for the Eastmont School District as a para-professional. Then went into the Food Service Program at Eastmont, where I still work. Was widowed in 2007 (my husband died of pancreatic cancer). I have lived in East Wenatchee since 1989. One grandson, Connor, 6 years old.
